Armin Van Burren's Shivers Released - Review Here.

Well while I have not been a huge fan of some of Armin's Prog set efforts of late I must say I was genually surprised by how good Shivers actually was. I did have my reservations at first. Shiver's turned out to be an awesome sophmore artist album. A mixture of vocal and more instrumental, I found the album to well balanced between the two. Not to mention a more trance music style. Songs like Shivers and Serenity, which have been included in many other dj sets already are already instant favorites of mine. Others like Gypsy (feat. Ray wilson) and Who is Watching (feat. Nadia Ali) have become favorites. Who is Watching is a much slower song, but has an almost haunting quality to it. I consider it a trance version of a rock ballad. Other's like Wall of Sound (feat. Justine Suissa), Empty State (feat. Mic Burns), and Golddigger (feat. Martijn Hagens) are also some good vocal trance. Zocalo (feat. Gabriel & Dresden), Bounce Back (feat. Remy & Roland Klinkenberg), and Control Freak are some damn good trance tracks. Overall I was extreme happy with the AvB effort. I enjoyed it and it's definataly something I can listen to over and over again. A definate must buy for any AvB fan.

5/5
